CJTF-HOA hosts congressional delegation

Members of a congressional delegation (CODEL) traveled to various locations within the CJTF-HOA area of responsibility Aug. 26 to Aug. 30 to meet with U.S. service members and learn more about the U.S. military mission in East Africa.

Members of a congressional delegation (CODEL) traveled to various locations within the CJTF-HOA area of responsibility Aug. 26 to Aug. 30 to meet with U.S. service members and learn more about the U.S. military mission in East Africa. The CODEL included the following Congressmen, all of whom are on the House Armed Service Committee: Rep. Austin Scott, 8th District of Georgia, Congressman Marc Veasey, 33rd District of Texas, and Rep. Jimmy Panetta, 20th District of California.

A member of the blood depot section at Naval Air Station Sigonella in Sicily, Italy, visited the Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa medical logistics center to provide training on the blood deglycerolization process to personnel from CJTF-HOA, Camp Lemonnier EMF, and the U.S. Embassy in Djibouti.
