CJTF-HOA Soldiers improve expertise for Expert Infantryman Badge

A U.S. Army Soldier assigned to Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa throws a training grenade in preparation for an Expert Infantryman Badge (EIB) evaluation at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Jan. 23, 2018. The EIB is a coveted special skills badge that requires infantry Soldiers to pass a five-day evaluation that consists of an Army Physical Fitness Test, day and night land navigation, a 12-mile forced march, and 30 individual tasks covering weapons, medical, and security patrol skills.
