: Instructors from U.S. Marine Corps Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force (SPMAGTF) Africa demonstrate counter IED detection devices and proper use during the fourth week of a 10-week training on best practices with members of the Burundi National Defense Force.

Bujumbura, Burundi, Nov. 05, 2014: Instructors from U.S. Marine Corps Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force (SPMAGTF) Africa demonstrate counter IED detection devices and proper use during the fourth week of a 10-week training on best practices with members of the Burundi National Defense Force.  SPMAGTF is specifically trained to support U.S. and partner interests throughout the United States Africa Command area of responsibility and takes part in bilateral and multilateral training exercises with regional partners. The unit has been training armed forces around Africa as well as providing continued assistance in U.S. operations on foreign soil.
