Civil Affairs: small team with a big mission

It starts with a hearty handshake and a pleasant exchange of greetings and ends with smiles of gratitude and appreciation. CJTF-HOA Commander visits Uganda, attends historic UPDF graduation

Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa commander Brig. Gen. David Furness attended the graduation ceremony for 60 engineers from Uganda People’s Defense Force (UPDF) on July 7, at a Marine base in Jinja, Uganda.

CJTF-HOA engineers verify quality and care with Africa First Initiative in Djibouti

Engineers of CJTF-HOA are working with laborers from the Africa First Initiative in Djibouti to renovate the region, solidifying the ongoing partnership between the U.S. and Republic of Djibouti.
