CJTF-HOA service members celebrate Christmas in Somalia
Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa
The African Union Mission in Somalia’s capabilities to provide security in Somalia were recently strengthened when U.S. military members of U.S. Africa Command and Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa delivered nearly 20 vehicles and two storage containers to the Uganda People’s Defence Force here, Sept. 25.
The Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa’s 443rd Civil Affairs Battalion (CAB) Functional Specialty Group (FXSP) veterinarians spayed, dewormed and immunized the cats of Caritas Djibouti here, Aug 30.
Service members are taking time to connect with each other and with family members back home as they head into the new year, continuing their dedication to protecting the U.S. and strengthening relationships with partnered nations.
U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps service members assigned to the Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), attended a U.S. Army Combat Lifesaver Course held at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti from Nov. 27 to Dec. 1, 2017.
MOGADISHU – Members of Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) leadership traveled to Mogadishu, Somalia, to meet with international partners, Nov. 2, 2016. The trip included individual, face-to-face discussions with key players in the Somalian defense sector and a group Defense Steering Committee meeting.
