CAV Leads M9, M4 Requalification Course for Soldiers In Djibouti

CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti (Aug. 29, 2012) - A 5.56 mm bullet casing is ejected out of an M4 Carbine assault rifle during a firearms re-qualification course at the Djiboutian Police Range, in Djibouti City, Djibouti, Aug. 29, 2012. Cadre from Task Force Raptor, 3rd Squadron, 124th Cavalry Regiment, Texas Army National Guard re-qualified 10 Soldiers on the M9 pistol and M4 to stay mission ready. The soldiers are assigned to the Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa, whose mission is to strengthen partner nation military capacity, promote regional stability, dissuade conflict, and protect U.S. and coalition interests within the combined joint operations area. Incoming EARF completes validation, demonstrates crisis response capability
