Tactical Air Control Party members who are attached to the 2-16th Infantry Battalion conduct training such as fast rope, air-to-ground, close combat attack, and hoisting training. TACP members are here conducting training in a joint operational environment that allows them to often work with members of international services. JTAC members work closely with ground commanders to communicate the best use of air power to engage in close air support.
