CJTF-HOA, Djiboutian Catholics reunite in show of faith, partnership

U.S. Navy Capt. David Rodriguez, CJTF-HOA chaplain and director of the office of religious affairs, and Bishop Giorgio Bertin, appointed bishop to Djibouti and an apostolic administrator for Somalia, led a mass where Camp Lemonnier-stationed Roman Catholics and their Djiboutian counterparts met in faith, worshipping together inside the main Catholic church of Djibouti – Cathédrale Notre-Dame du Bon-Pasteur de Djibouti, known in English as Our Lady of the Good Shepherd Cathedral. Last month, the Combined Joint task Force – Horn of Africa Religious Affairs Office began the mission of once again uniting the faithful in Djibouti’s cathedral.(U.S. Air National Guard photo by Tech.
