U.S., French and Italian service members participate in static-line and free fall jumps on June 6, 2017, commemorating World War II's Allied invasion of Normandy, termed "D-Day", near Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti. The bilateral jump is in honor of the 73rd anniversary of D-Day, and also celebrates the continued partnership of allied forces. French Forces Djibouti provided a Transall C-160 tactical transport aircraft using French parachutes and French jumpmasters, and all who jumped earned French jump wings.
