CJTF-HOA service members learn about humanitarian relief operations

"If you wear a U.S. military uniform long enough, it's not about if but when you will perform support for a humanitarian operation," said Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) Deputy Commanding General, U.S. Army Brig. Gen. William Zana. Nearly 100 CJTF-HOA and Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, service members completed a Joint Humanitarian Operations Course conducted by the U.S. Agency for International Development last week, better equipping them for humanitarian operations.

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson Visits Djibouti

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson visited with CJTF-HOA personnel on his stop in Djibouti, as part of his tour through Africa. Secretary Tillerson traveled to Djibouti to discuss the U.S.-Djiboutian partnership, and exchanged views on bilateral concerns, security threats, and economic reforms. CJTF-HOA Civil Affairs Promotes Partnerships, Peace, Through CIMIC Training
