The Mass Casualty Exercise included mortuary affairs personnel and volunteers from the U.S. Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and Army, testing their communication, coordination and skills in search and recovery and mortuary affairs collection point processes.
CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti – Volunteers from the U.S. Navy, Marines, Army and Air Force test their new skills in mortuary affairs collection point processes and procedures during a mass casualty exercise, June 1, 2016, at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti. The exercise began at a nearby airfield when a mock vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated causing two casualties to test the search and recovery, communication, coordination and mortuary affairs collection point processes between Camp Lemonnier, Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa and a nearby airfield personnel.
