The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) hosted a Joint Humanitarian Operations Course (JHOC) at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, April 18-19.
Jennifer Glossinger, a humanitarian assistance advisor to the military with the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, expounds on the historical roots of U.S. foreign aid during the Joint Humanitarian Operations Course (JHOC) at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, April 18-19, 2023. Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA)’s mission is to conduct operations to enhance partner nation capacity, promote regional stability, dissuade conflict, and protect U.S. and Partner interests. The CJ-32 Air Operations team is at the center of this being responsible for, among other things, coordinating all air support operations across the east African area of responsibility.
