Combined Joint Task Force - Horn

U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Jami Shawley, commanding general of Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), joined the Honorable Mr. Jonathan Pratt, U.S. Ambassador to Djibouti, and Dr. Ahmed Robleh Abdilleh, Ministère de la Santé de Djibouti, to speak at the opening of the expansion of Djibouti’s Ministry of Health’s PK12 Field Hospital in Balbala, Djibouti, July 20, 2022. Working shoulder-to-shoulder with Djibouti’s Ministry of Health, U.S. Embassy development specialists, and Civil Affairs, the service members of CJTF-HOA’s 319th Engineer Support Company successfully added a five-bed intensive care unit, and a 30-bed isolation facility with bathrooms, which doubles the capacity of the PK12 Field Hospital.
