Coalition partners celebrate Bastille Day

Bastille Day, or French National Day, commemorates the unity of French people at the Fete de la Federation of 1790, a celebration in which French celebrated their unity during the Revolution. France established its presence in Djibouti (then called Protectorate of Obock) in the 1880s.

The Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa, alongside Djiboutian, French, Japanese and European Union Naval Forces joined together for the semiannual Bull Shark 25-2 exercise in the vicinity of Arta Range, Djibouti, to strengthen communication and collaboration among international partners and allies from May 5-6.

The 152nd Engineer Support Company deployed in support of Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) is playing a pivotal role in enhancing both military operations and the quality of life for service members stationed at Baledogle Military Airfield (BMA), Somalia, through various construction projects, to include a recent build of a medical aid station.
