CJTF-HOA supports Decan Wildlife Refuge at Cross du Refuge 10K

Participants from Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa supported the Decan Wildlife Refuge running at the Cross du Refuge Décan 10k, Jan. 31, 2025. Decan, a french acronym DÉCouvrir et Aider la Nature ‘discover and help nature’ was started in 2001 by a veterinarian to help animals with rehabilitation. FDCC tryouts begin at CLDJ
On Jan. 22, 2025, participants from CJTF-HOA and Camp Lemonnier participated in the French Desert Commando Course tryouts. They performed a variety of exercises including a 2.5 mile run, rope climb, push-ups, pull-ups, swimming, and many more to be selected to represent the U.S. in the competition that occurs later in the year.

The 1151st Engineer Support Company, Alabama National Guard, transferred authority of the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa engineering mission to the 152nd Engineer Support Company, New York National Guard, during a Transfer of Authority ceremony on Feb. 11, 2025, at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti.
