The French host a NEO exercise with CJTF-HOA members and international partners in Djibouti

U.S. service members assigned to Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa and distinguished visitors leave the runway after the completion of a non-combatant evacuation exercise (NEO) at the French Marine 5th Regiment, Nov. 16, 2016, in Djibouti, Djibouti. The French invited international partners to the exercise to allow them to observe and exchange information about the event. Lapse In Appropriations
The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Sept. 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status, without pay, until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.
