726th Expeditionary Air Base Squadron contingency contracting officers expand vendor base with new asset

U.S. Air Force Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa contingency contracting officers, 726th Expeditionary Air Base Squadron, pose with Camp Lemonnier contractors for a photo next to the new contracting bulletin board, Dec. 6, 2016, in Djibouti, Djibouti. The contract bulletin board is posted in a gathering area of the local community and provides Djiboutian businesses with easier access to information and contacts for contracting opportunities. This project aligns with the "Djiboutian First" legislation, which supports the economy of Djibouti by providing qualified businesses with contractual preference. Humans of HOA:Vehicle management plays a vital role in CJTF-HOA operations
I joined the U.S. Army at 18 years old, straight out of high school. In fact, I enlisted while I was still a senior. My decision was driven by more than a sense of duty — it was deeply personal. Fast forward to today, I am proudly serving my country overseas with the Arizona Army National Guard. I am in an administrative role for the Transportation Motor Pool unit, which is in charge of managing a large fleet of vehicles, most of which are sourced from local Djiboutian contractors.
