Sniper platoons from the 11th MEU and French Marines conduct bilateral training during Exercise Alligator Dagger

U.S. Marine Corps members with 1st Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company (ANGLICO), 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), communicate with players on the range during Exercise Alligator Dagger, Dec. 18, 2016, at Arta Plage, Djibouti. On the ground, ANGLICO is tasked to communicate and coordinate with air or naval gunfire assets, as well as provide situational updates of target sites during their bombardment. Lapse In Appropriations
The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Sept. 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status, without pay, until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.
