AFRICOM trainers share logistics expertise with Somali National Army partners, first class graduates

U.S. Ambassador to Somalia Stephen Schwartz speaks with U.S. Army Capt. Seth Church, 101st Airborne Division, 426th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, training team officer in charge of a logistics training course, following a graduation ceremony on May 24, 2017, in Mogadishu, Somalia, where nearly 60 Somali National Army soldiers received their certificates of completion. Humans of HOA:Vehicle management plays a vital role in CJTF-HOA operations
I joined the U.S. Army at 18 years old, straight out of high school. In fact, I enlisted while I was still a senior. My decision was driven by more than a sense of duty — it was deeply personal. Fast forward to today, I am proudly serving my country overseas with the Arizona Army National Guard. I am in an administrative role for the Transportation Motor Pool unit, which is in charge of managing a large fleet of vehicles, most of which are sourced from local Djiboutian contractors.
