International partners participate in a D-Day anniversary airborne operation

U.S., French, and Italian service members participate in training for static-line jumps commemorating D-Day, June 5, 2017, near Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti. The U.S. forces are assigned to the Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Africa. CJTF-HOA promotes prosperity and security in East Africa by assisting partner nations with countering violent extremist organizations, fostering regional security cooperation, and by protecting U.S. personnel and facilities in its 10-country area of responsibility.
