CJTF-HOA hosts US, Japanese Ambassadors to Djibouti

William Zana, Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa deputy commanding general, hosted Koji Yotenani, Japanase Ambassador to Djibouti, and Larry André, U.S. Ambassador to Djibouti, during a visit to Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, March 7, 2018. Yonetani and André were appointed as their countries' ambassadors to Djibouti in October and November 2017, respectively. On Saturday, April 27, 2024, after nearly two years as commanding general of Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa, Maj. Gen. Jamelle Shawley transfers command to Brigadier General Brian T. Canine Casualty Care takes Flight
U.S. Army combat medics from Task Force Paxton, 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, Pennsylvania National Guard joined Air Force Pararescue from the 82nd Expeditionary Rescue Squadron, Navy Corpsman from 2nd Air Control Squadron, and French Security Forces with Military Working Dogs to conduct Canine Tactical Combat Casualty Care Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti. Mar. 26, 2024. The purpose of the training is to ensure interoperability with key U.S. and foreign partner assets to conduct medical care on the MWDs and to expedite patient transfers to and from aircraft in the event lifesaving measures and medical evacuation are needed.
