403rd Civil Affairs Functional Specialty Team conducts Combat Lifesaver Course for Italian partners

Carmen Lozano, a medic with the 403rd Civil Affairs Battalion Functional Specialty Team assigned to Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, assists two members of the Italian Carabinieri in a bleeding-control exercise during a Combat Lifesaver Course at Base Militar Italiano de Supporte, Djibouti, Jan. 15, 2019. The 10-lesson Combat Lifesaver Course is designed specifically to teach non-medical service members lifesaving interventions, including hemorrhage control and airway management.
