National Guard Bureau Chief visits CJTF-HOA, reinforcing Guard’s commitment to East Africa, partnerships

CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti — U.S. Air Force Gen. Steven S. Nordhaus, chief of the National Guard Bureau, visited Camp Lemonnier and met with leadership and service members of Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa May 30-31, reinforcing the National Guard’s commitment to regional security and strengthening multinational partnerships across East Africa.

U.S. Soldiers assigned to the Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa Surgeon Cell and members of the Japanese Self-Defense Force came together to exchange Tactical Combat Casualty Care techniques at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, May 29.

The Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa, alongside Djiboutian, French, Japanese and European Union Naval Forces joined together for the semiannual Bull Shark 25-2 exercise in the vicinity of Arta Range, Djibouti, to strengthen communication and collaboration among international partners and allies from May 5-6.
