DJIBOUTI, Djibouti- Service members from Combined joint Task Force - Horn of Africa collaborate with the Djiboutian Coast Guard and partner nations in the 5th iteration of Exercise Bull Shark May 5-6, 2024 in the Gulf of Tadjoura, Djibouti.
Exercise Bull Shark led by CJTF-HOA is a bi-annual joint training exercise between U.S service members and ally and partner forces to strengthen personnel recovery capabilities and interoperability. The exercise consisted of over 200 U.S., Djiboutian, Spanish, and French service members, 45 vehicles, 15 vessels, and five aircrafts all communicating and working together as a collective whole to ensure readiness to real-world crisis response.

Canine Casualty Care takes Flight

U.S. Army combat medics from Task Force Paxton, 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, Pennsylvania National Guard joined Air Force Pararescue from the 82nd Expeditionary Rescue Squadron, Navy Corpsman from 2nd Air Control Squadron, and French Security Forces with Military Working Dogs to conduct Canine Tactical Combat Casualty Care Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti. Mar. 26, 2024.
The purpose of the training is to ensure interoperability with key U.S. and foreign partner assets to conduct medical care on the MWDs and to expedite patient transfers to and from aircraft in the event lifesaving measures and medical evacuation are needed.
