75th EAS delivers force protection assets

Airmen from the 7th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron used a C-130J Super Hercules to deliver a Humvee and other equipment from Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, to a forward operating location. The force protection assets were delivered to members of Charlie Co. 2-214, Task Force Seminole of the Florida Army National Guard, which is a response force for Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa's area of responsibility.

Seven nations gather in Djibouti, honor the fallen during Armistice Day ceremony

For nearly 100 years nations have annually commemorated the end of World War I on Nov. 11, with an Armistice Day ceremony. The French Marine Base in Djibouti held a ceremony that remained faithful to the heritage and tradition of military service to honor those who were lost in WWI.

Public information conference promotes collaboration, prepares leaders for communication role

Military and civilian officials from more than nine countries gathered at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, to attend the East Africa Public Information Officer Conference, Nov. 3 to 6, 2015. More than 30 PIOs, civil affairs professionals and distinguished visitors from the Federal Government of Somalia attended the four-day conference hosted by Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa. Subjects covered during the conference included the benefits of engaging media, combat camera capabilities and the effective use of social media and more.

African standby force, U.S. forge new partnership

Partner nations exchange regional disease knowledge

Medical professionals from the U.S., French and Djiboutian militaries discussed a multitude of topics to include the presence of Malaria, Ebola, and pest induced infections on the continent.
