Airmen from the 7th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron used a C-130J Super Hercules to deliver a Humvee and other equipment from Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, to a forward operating location. The force protection assets were delivered to members of Charlie Co. 2-214, Task Force Seminole of the Florida Army National Guard, which is a response force for Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa's area of responsibility.

Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Rose Gottemoeller, travelled to Djibouti to visit Camp Lemonnier and Chebelley Airfield to meet with various counterparts to discuss international security issues and international anti-piracy efforts.
