First held in 1915, the Norwegian Armed Forces, the Forsvaret, meaning “the defense” in the Norwegian language, worked to expose new members to field conditions. Combined Joint Task Force - Horn
U.S. service members and partners from France, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom participated in the first Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa CJ-5 Directorate-led simulated crisis response tabletop exercise at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Feb. 27, 2025. The scenarios included realistic constraints and challenged participants to identify opportunities for their respective militaries to support one another in the event of a crisis.
