Rebecca Pavlicek, U.S. Naval Medical Research Unit – 3 Detachment director of the microbiology laboratory at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, works on the preparation and maintenance of the laboratory tests and media needed to be ready to identify any pathogen that might be infecting our service members.
Pavlicek is the sole microbiologist serving at CLDJ and provides critical support to Camp Lemonnier, Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), the U.S. Embassy in Djibouti, and U.S. military members across East Africa.
