Members of Civil Affairs East Africa Southern European Task Force Africa, in support of Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) celebrate the inauguration of a library funded by the U.S. government April 27, 2021, in Damerjog, Djibouti. The library was handed over to the Djiboutian Ministry of Education and will benefit nearly 900 Damerjog students.

Imam Hassan Ahmed Migane, Imam of the Gachamaleh Mosque, visits Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, April 28, 2021 to commemorate Iftar, the end of Ramadan meal that breaks the Ramadan fast, and pray with U.S. servicemembers. This was the first time the Imam visited the base, meeting with servicemembers and strengthening partnerships between countries.

Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) deployed forces to Gao, Mali, from Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, March 30-31. The movement was the third time American forces demonstrated the ability to expeditiously deploy self-sustained operations in an austere environment and better interact with partner forces.
