Participants from Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa supported the Decan Wildlife Refuge running at the Cross du Refuge Décan 10k, Jan. 31, 2025. Decan, a french acronym DÉCouvrir et Aider la Nature ‘discover and help nature’ was started in 2001 by a veterinarian to help animals with rehabilitation. The 1151st Engineer Support Company, Alabama National Guard, transferred authority of the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa engineering mission to the 152nd Engineer Support Company, New York National Guard, during a Transfer of Authority ceremony on Feb. 11, 2025, at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti.
CJTF-HOA works with U.S. Embassy Tanzania in exercise to maintain regional readiness

U.S. Military service members from Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), will conduct a long standing pre-planned exercise with the
U.S. Embassy in Tanzania in support of security cooperation efforts for the region and enhancing the Tanzania crisis response capabilities. The exercise is conducted by the East Africa Response Force in collaboration with the Tanzania’s People Defense Forces.
