Commodore Edmundson will take command of Combined Task Force 150 (CTF-150) Dec. 16, 2016. Re-established post 9/11, CTF-150 is a 25-nation coalition naval task force coordinated by the Combined Maritime Forces based in Manama, Bahrain. Its main functions are to monitor, inspect, board and stop suspect shipping and terrorism in the Horn of Africa.
