CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti -- U.S. military service members from Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), will forward deploy to Manda Bay, Kenya, and conduct an outstation crisis response exercise (OSCRE) March 26, 2025.

The East African Response Force (EARF) assigned to CJTF-HOA is a forward-deployable unit designed to respond to crises in the U.S. Africa Command composed of specialized security force members.

This exercise is designed to enhance interoperability, strengthen regional partnerships, and build capacity in crisis response capabilities. Participants from EARF and KDF will engage in training scenarios focusing on rapid deployment, tactical operations, and effective coordination during crisis situations.

Exercises like this help increase readiness, improve communication, and practice as one team to eliminate threats posed that affect U.S. and coalition interests.
